This month sees a new beginning, as our six offices come together under one name: Alexander & Co. Although part of the same overarching organisation, each agency had its own identity but is operated under the same vision: to ease the property journey and give customers the very best service. On 1 st May, all of the six offices, which include Claire Lloyd Properties in Aylesbury, Hartwells in Aylesbury and Wing, Baker Pearce in Harrow and Bannisters in Bicester, will adopt the name of our longest serving agency.

For our existing clients we can promise that this will not affect our service and dedication to you. There have been several drivers of this decision, one being the greater investment opportunities that it could potentially offer you. As our Group CEO, George Thomas, explains: “Our clients will have access to an even wider pool of investment opportunities, in terms of properties to buy and let, and in areas perhaps they weren’t considering, along with greater marketing of their properties from a team they’ve enjoyed long-term relationships with.”

With six highly respected offices serving a variety of different communities, it was important that we had some continuity. Combined, our agencies have over 150 years’ experience, and we currently employ more than 90 staff across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Middlesex. “Alexander & Co was established almost 50 years ago. Based in Dunstable, it’s rich in heritage, experience, and has a reputation for giving customers the very best service – everything we stand for today. In this context it’s a natural evolution for us, and very much business as usual,” explains George.
We already have plans in place to launch a number of new services. We are always listening to our clients and taking on board your feedback, and anything we can do to enhance and improve the service we offer across our offices is important to us.
One of our new services we describe as being similar to internet banking, in that landlords will be able to access property inventories and rental statements online, and to monitor the progress of maintenance issues. This is just one part of our ongoing commitment to offer you, our clients, a level of service you won’t find anywhere else on the high street.
And the property market
All the signs are encouraging, and we expect the local property market to continue to grow during 2018. There is still a high demand, although we are always in need of more properties to sell. The private rental market continues to thrive and we already have 1,070 prospective tenants registered with us this year, all of whom are looking for a property to rent, a number that is already up on 2017.
